AN ACT TO AMEND THE TRADE DISPUTES ACT, 1906. [20th July, 1982] |
BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: | ||

Amendment of section 5 of Trade Disputes Act, 1906. |
1. —Section 5 of the Trade Disputes Act, 1906, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following definition for that of “workmen” in subsection (3): |
[GA] | “and the expression ‘workmen’ means all persons employed, whether or not in the employment of the employer with whom a trade dispute arises, but does not include a member of the Defence Forces or of the Garda Síochána;”. | |

2. —(1) This Act may be cited as the Trade Disputes (Amendment) Act, 1982. |
[GA] | (2) The Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1975, and this Act may be cited together as the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1982. |
